Tailor-made lithium batteries for retrofitting older lead-acid applications
Due to their higher energy density and lower weight, lithium batteries are now widely viewed as an alternative energy source for existing lead-acid applications. Many industries and products are drawn to the advantages of lithium technology, including compact dimensions, lower weight, higher efficiency, better measurability and maintenance, better management, scalability, and improved service life and costs.
In contrast to all the advantages, there are some challenges when switching from lead-acid to lithium technology:
- Familiarity with lithium chemistry technologies
- Corresponding BMS and mechanical constructions
- Difficult adaption of existing applications to new lithium batteries
- Many existing applications in the field already use lead acid

BCI form factors *
A popular battery size in the BCI form factor is the GC2 / GC8. This lead-acid battery product has been used in highly diversified industries such as golf carts and other electric vehicles for many decades. Lithium Batteries supplies the lithium battery in the GC2 / GC8 form factor with significant breakthroughs that allow users to switch seamlessly.

Lithium Batteries has also developed many products that are not BCI form factors. Original equipment customers with existing lead-acid battery solutions are working with us to switch to lithium technology with 10x life, faster charge / discharge rates, and less than half the weight and size.
Lithium Batteries offers 3 standard size battery modules for forklift and material handling applications:
- Class III: 24V 200Ah
- Class II: 48V 100Ah
- Class I: 80V 100Ah
As shown below, three 24V 200Ah modules are assembled into a 24V 600Ah battery pack.

In addition, our modular designs with the ability to connect batteries in parallel for charging and discharging enable scalability, as well as easy transport and maintenance.
