Custom lead-acid battery

Tailor-made lithium batteries for retrofitting older lead-acid applications

As a result of their higher energy density and lower weight, lithium batteries are becoming increasingly popular as alternatives to lead-acid batteries. The advantages of lithium technology include compact dimensions, lower weight, higher efficiency, better measurement and maintenance, better management, scalability, and longer service life.

Despite all the advantages, switching from lead-acid to lithium technology has some challenges:

  • Knowledge of lithium chemistry technologies
  • The corresponding BMS and mechanical constructions
  • Existing applications are difficult to adapt to lithium batteries
  • Lead acid is already used in many existing applications in the field

Lithium Batteries’ unique technology can meet these challenges and enables our tailor-made lithium batteries to easily retrofit existing lead-acid applications.

Lithium Batteries has numerous product lines and a track record of using Lithium Batteries technology in a wide variety of areas. Aside from OEM / ODM projects, many of our solutions follow BCI (Battery Council International) form factors.

Technological breakthrough highlights:

  • Drop-in replacement
  • Compatible with existing lead-acid chargers / charging systems
  • IP 67 protection class
  • UL 2580 and UL 2271 certified battery cells and battery pack

Forklift batteries

The Lithium Batteries Company has also developed many products that are not BCI form factors. Original equipment manufacturers with existing lead-acid battery solutions are working with us to switch to lithium technology with 10x the life, faster charge and discharge rates, and less than half the weight.

Forklift and material handling applications, Lithium Batteries offers three standard size battery modules:

  • The Class III battery is 24V 200Ah
  • In Class II, there is a 48V 100Ah battery
  • 80V 100Ah – Class I

A 24V 600Ah battery pack is constructed from three 24V 200Ah modules.

The size of lithium batteries can be matched to that of the existing battery compartment while meeting or exceeding the energy requirements of the application. Our modular designs enable scalability, as well as easy transport and maintenance due to the ability to charge and discharge batteries in parallel.

Form factors refer to the dimensions and configuration of the device’s battery compartment.
